I would say the biggest difference is when you get higher up on the food chain on the rigs and have to deal with the client, the 3rd parties, and the industrial crews. As a Captain/OIM on a drill rig, there are many more areas of the business that will make you an all around good boss, good captain, and good employee that you need to deal with, then other types of vessels. In a way you are like the CEO of the rig, a $700 million business entity, and you have to make everyone happy as well as doing your job and the right thing.
