Are the user on-line numbers real? Right now it says there are 1230 viewng the forum. But the number of views in the individual threads don’t show anywhere near that level of activity. Where are all these people? Are they just gazing at the forum home page?

I also looked at my profile page and it says over 1000 folks were curious enough to check me out. I don’t believe it (Really, I’m not that interesting)

So are the viewing numbers real or is there a multiplier factored in to make it more prominent on search engines?

Just wondering…

at this moment these are the numbers:

There are currently 1225 users online. 111 members and 1114 guests

does seem a might skewed that there would be 10 times the number of guests online than registered members…very interesting indeed!

Most of the visitors are Bots. Sites like Google and Yahoo use bots and look for key words then use them to rate the site. This is one of the ways that the site comes up when you search for something using one of the search engines.

This is a little simple but you can get the idea.
