It is just a credit union like 100 others, I could have an account there, but I don’t because I like USAA better. Is it because it says Navy in the title?
NFCU actively recruits DOD civilians, as well as the lowly government merchant mariners you speak of, with no prior service. So if that’s what NFCU wants, and it seems they do, perhaps the folks you are embarrassed for are just good paying customers and didn’t lie, cheat or trick anyone.
