While listening to NPR on a short road trip with the family today, the title of this thread was the opening to a monolog from a lady sharing the story of her family’s multi generational relationship with the sea. Her name is Katlin Ducequette from New Bedford, Ma. She grew up in home with a dad who went to sea. He died at sea just like 2 of her great grandfathers. I liked her story but it made my wife cry. It’s segment 3 that starts at 35:34.
