Sad.

Fishermen in the Philippines found the ‘ghost ship’ on Thursday, in seas off the southern island of Mindanao.

When they opened the door of the cabin they found the German man, identified as 59-year-old Manfred Fritz Bajorat by documents on board, mummified in the spot where he died.

He sat hunched over his arms as if he was sleeping, the radio inches from his hand as if he intended to make one last distress call.
No-one knows how long he drifted for in this condition, but the last time someone remembered seeing him was 2009.
His body is believed to have stayed so well preserved due to salty air, hot weather and dry winds.

Inspector Mark Navales from Barabo town close to where the ship was found said there were no signs of violence, but they still didn’t know why he died. ‘It is still a mystery to us,’ he said.
Inside the 40 ft yacht, called Sayo, investigators found a GPS system, photo albums, tins of food and clothes scattered around.

A fellow sailor called Dieter, who met the dead man in 2009, told Germany’s BILD newspaper: ‘He was a very experienced sailor. I don’t believe he would have sailed into a storm. I believe the mast broke after Manfred was already dead.’

Whoa that’s creepy. Died what he loved doing.

I read an article through ‘coast to coast’ and I guess his wife or significant other, can’t remember which, dumped him a few years ago. She died of cancer after the fact and I guess he took it pretty hard. Whoever wrote the article said maybe he died of a broken heart.
A spookier element was even though he’s been missing for quite sometime is a friend of his said he got a happy birthday message from him on facebook in 2014. So how long exactly has he been dead? Very odd and creepy. Goes to show us in spite of how technology is someone can still disappear on the big blue.

And nobody hanging over his shoulder, “did you get that SAMM item done? Hey it’s time to pump sewage. Hey I know it’s break time but we need to talk about this job coming up. Hey you need to fix your timesheet. bla bla bla”

I like to think he had a heart attack or something like that but one would like to have your ship secured somewhere before croaking. probably a medical issue but look at the ‘‘iceman’’ , they found a arrow in him around his arm pit years after he’d been ‘‘analyzed’’, but thieves would of taken more no?

It was posted that they now think he was only dead for a short period of time. I guess the salt ad it’s way with him.
