MSC isn’t the only government agency that tolerates a toxic work environment. We have our share of ugly. Racism, sexism, ageism, and just plain ass-hole-ism. Fortunately, our hitches aren’t that long, but even so, you can find yourself in a place where you end up wondering, why not grab a heavy object and just jump off the stern, which has occurred to me in the past. But only for a moment.
I won’t give the sons of bitches the satisfaction now.

A fellow ship mate was unlucky enough to have a death onboard but being a German owned vessel it had a beer store so the body was stowed there at the correct temperature.
He reckoned that the third world crew were so superstitious he’d didn’t need to lock the store.
I was on that ship 2013/2014 pretty sure I know who your talking about…
