Can’t say I think this was the smartest thing for them to do but there are some good pictures.

When I was in school we would drive between the ships in this little 12’ skiff and stand in the empty bow thruster tubes drinking beer…ah memories
The tug I was on a few years ago towed 2 of those ships to Brownsville. The Winthrop Victory and the Gen John Pope.
