better check on that credit before u go, it got my ass usually from what i hear some wait a year or so if they are hustling ya it will be about 3-4 months
My credit is fine. I check it every month. I thought you said you were in NEO when you resigned?
yep they dont conduct the credit history till then, then was told my best option was to resign fix my credit and come on back when a new spot opens up! was pissed i got my identity stolen. i wasted all that money getting things together for that gig and the flight there and back…stayed inside for a week afterwards didnt want to see nobody

So MSC’s security did not even run your credit, cleared you to go to NEO, and then told you at NEO that you have credit issues? I was told that I would not even get a physical scheduled until I am cleared though security. From the date you were hired, how long did it take to get to NEO?
Anyone here recently get hired on with MSC? I know there were a few waiting on “the call.” I was selected as a second electrician and my physical has been scheduled for Friday. Medical is that last “hurdle” I need to clear before I head to orientation. Anyone else in the process or have their date for NEO?

No idea, you may want to private message Suburbredneck and ask.
Hay thanks so much
Long time listener, first time caller. I submitted my application package yesterday for Electronics Technician. Does anyone know what to expect once you get to the fleet? Will I be thrown in the ring all by myself, or will I get a few months of turnover with the guy leaving. Hell, is there only one ET per ship or more? So many questions, but this will have to suffice for now.

More than likely the guy your relieving has been waiting two or three months for you to show up. that sais, you may not be the only ET onboard. IIRC, some ships had two onboard. Good luck.
On my ship I have seen one late relief in the past eight months. That was because the idiot coming was playing the system to stay stateside for another week.
You could also be on one of those ships that everyone wants. When I was there, the ships with the popular Captains or 1/Mates or Chengr’s always seemed to get ontime reliefs because people didn’t mind goiing to those ships.
Just wanted to check in and let you know I have been selected as a second electrician for MSC and have finished the whole process. I only now await the date for NEO. Hopefully will hear something next week.
Congrats Martilyo. hopefully they get you to neo and to work soon! I’ll be sailing as a cadet with MSC this fall and I’m looking forward to it.
