So there are 70 replies and it seems like almost none of them address the issue. I simply want to know if the feds will find out i had a medical marijuana card before I applied for a 3rd mate. I’ve heard that they cant, especially if they have no reason to believe I ever had one. Does anybody actually have any knowledge on this? Thanks.
The gods have not forsaken you, congress has… However, the herb “Kava” may help. Kava is, or was, the only legal un-prescribed narcotic in the States. Health food stores sometimes carry it. Not sure how it would look on a 719, but Melatonin on mine didn’t raise and red flags, (yet)…
Don’t know about them Cali keedets, but down hur in Texas we don’t need no adderal and what not to pull all nighter, just some coffee and Copenhagen.
Seriously, we have a pretty hard academic program from A&M, and we pull a lot of late nights and all nighters, and I have never seen anyone offer or use amphetamines. Two yeas going, at least my crew.
Just out of curiosity what was your medical condition that warranted the need for medical marijuana. If the medical condition still exist the U.S.C.G. probably would not issue the license anyway.
This is the real question because if you went to a Doctor for the Prescription there is a record of it somewhere. From what I have heard the “symptoms” that most claim in order to get a prescription would be a RED Flag to the C.G. and if you lie to the U.S.C.G. about having or not having a diagnosed problem and get caught you are screwed. I would not want to be in a situation like this. A couple of guys that I know were diagnosed as having Sleep apnea when they went for help for snoring and had to jump through a lot of hoops to get their License Renewed.
