Hey guys,
Was hoping i could get some ideas for my next move. I have been working offshore for about 5 years, academy grad, 6000 master oceans, sitting for my chief mate unlimited exam next week. but since i sailed as chief mate on my 6000 i will be advanced directly to unlimited master.
With the current market condition and my qualifications what would you guys do?
in the past 6 months my pay has been just about cut in half and employment has been less than “regular” to say the least. i was working over seas and when i returned to the GOM a couple months ago most positions were filled.
Willing to work overseas, blue water, anything.
