Meanwhile, today’s latest…

Any new updates on the ship? I’ve searched and came up with nothing further than the post above. I see Maridive 701 & Maridive 702 are still out in the waters, a ways from the coast.

If forecast northerlies in that area push it back towards Libyan beaches, someone might speak up, I suppose.
(I am surprised that there have been no Navarea III MSI warnings for it. Malta did local warnings for a while, but no Greek NavTex as it moved that way - out of sight, out of mind seems to be everybody’s view now.)

If the erratic repsonse by Libya seems odd, remember the post-Gaddafi mess it’s in.
Understand that Western Libya (where the problem first drifted towards shore) and Eastern Libya (the closest area under threat now) are still very much separate “administrations”. They only talk to each other through the UNSMIL (United Nations Support Mission in Libya)

I have a sollution to this problem.

Let’s bomb them into a stone age “like nobody has ever seen before” .

Would it not be a " beautiful " thing to do?

And problem solved like never ever before
