Hello out there. I"m interest in some opinions on my situation. I’ve just turned 49 and was thinking about attending the Seattle Maritime Academy to learn some DeckHand skills in hopes of getting some kind of employment in the meritime industry. All my life I’ve been interested in doing this but something always seemed to get in the way. I’m in great physical shape and love would to work in that environment. My question is----am I too old to be taken serious when trying to find employment or would I have a chance in some area of the industry? Any replies would be appreciated, Thanks, Mark
