Knocking on Doors in Louisiana

Not sure what happened to these 2 mariners; they ended up not staying here.
But, received this email, below, from LUMCOM regarding an opening for an engineer position:
I understand you often host mariners looking for employment at your Bed and Breakfast. We have an opening for an enthusiastic and energetic licensed engineer aboard our Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium owned oceanographic research ship. The R/V Pelican was designed and outfitted to conduct a variety of oceanographic research missions such as: scientific trawling, large box core sampling, thirty-foot piston cores, shallow seismic surveys, current meter array and benthic boundary array deployment and recovery, plankton sampling, hydrographic casts with CTD-rosette system and underway sampling with towed water sampling systems.
The R/V Pelican is operated as an Oceanographic Research Vessel as designated by the United States Coast Guard and is maintained as an American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) L/L vessel. The Consortium is a member of the Universities National Oceanographic Laboratory Systems (UNOLS) and the R/V Pelican is a designated UNOLS vessel and is available for legitimate research and education programs of Consortium members, state and federal agencies, other nonprofit groups, and oceanographic industries.
Our vessel is very unique in its’ operation and does not operated as an oilfield or tug boat. We are searching for a candidate which would enjoy working in a fast (sometimes very slow) pace environment of oceanographic research.
If any candidates looking for a unique opportunity past thru your services, could you kindly pass along this information.
Kindness regards,
Joseph Malbrough Jr.
