I remember when the size of the shipâs library was a deciding factor in accepting a contract. We were more educated back then as we just had to read what was available. It was a liberal education I still remain a fan of Loius LâAmour from those days. I also learned a bit about quantum mechanic from the reading available. Great times
First time I ever read Two Years Before the Mast was thanks to a well stocked shipâs library.
Folks hate Kerouac today but many ships Iâve been on kept several of his and other Beat Generation novelistâs works on hand as well. Many of them spent time in the Merchant Marine.
Same here. I am not aware of another site where there is so much info about licensing. Sure, there are things that get misconstrued but the fact that mr cavo actively chimes in to correct us is huge, and beneficial to all.
There is a wealth of information regarding the job hunt here too.
