I have a possible shot at going to work on one of the coal ships on the great lakes, i currently hold a AB Unlimited with STCW cetificate for RFPNW and lifeboatman; i am trying to go for the 3rd mate
unlimited oceans. will any of my time or tonnage count towards the oceans license or will i just be getting a paycheck…
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it would only count for Great Lakes/Western Rivers.
Thats what i thought but i felt the need for some other feedback, I haven’t been on a boat since oct 2009 and hopefully get something before oct 2010
