I am losing my hearing on too tight of cross track alarms with the constant alarms are deafening. Ships are not like Disney World on tracks

My Pilot buddy has the Masters of ships she’s piloting assign a Mate to the ECDIS whose sole job it is to silence those ridiculous fucking alarms.
“Loss of consciousness in extremely advances cases warrants immediate removal of the navigator from the watch rotation and flyers and pamphlets touting the engine department career track should be administered to the patient.”
Above quote is from the article…please keep them out of the engine room! If they freak out about the ship icon not being on the line, I wonder how much they will chase gauges LOL.
