If you could sail on any class of vessel, what would it be?
I would sail as a passenger with my mistress around the world …
Indeed, that is the way a truly civilized man goes to sea.

We here are just unwashed heathens choosing to actually make our livelihoods working upon the waters. As a wise sage once opined: The wonder is always new that any sane man can be a sailor?

If I could I would find an Old N.Y. Canal Tug. This would be one before they started putting the Hydraulic Houses on them, and convert her into a Live a Board Yacht. This way I could spend my days running up and down both the Eastern and Northern Canal.

Restore and convert a PT Boat into a luxury go-fast. Lots of mahogany, bright work, and loud exhaust!

I’d have to go with a pontoon boat, party barge on Lake Delta, NY.

Dashew’s Bewulf

27knots on a little family cruiser, can’t beat that!!

Zoooom…

I wouldn’t mind buying the SS United States and being the captain of the fastest ocean liner ever.
Just give me unlimited funding and I’ll be on my way

The most fun I had was sailing on old break bulk stick ships. That was an end of an era.

Indeed sir…very true indeed

But I still like being the captain of a whole pack of crazed strippers!

I agree, my one and only stick ship but loved sailing on her.

I’m sorely disappointed I’ll never get to be a part of that… Unless I head up to Alaska, that is. Brrrr…
