Hypocrisy revealed

No. You just lied.

What’s funny is that in Washington State where almost everyone votes by mail both parties support it. Not sure when or why this became a partisan issue or why it might be considered “cheating” by some.

The only “some” that thinks it is cheating are the cult members who believe Trump won in 2020. Even Trumps own attorney general after investigating told Trump he lost fair and square. Meanwhile Trump and his family continue to vote by mail. The gullibility of the cult is amazing and would be funny if it weren’t so embarrassing.

Here’s hypocrisy about “Just Wars”…

“US Troops relocate to hotels after bases attacked”
Real world translation…
“US Troops using local CIVILIAN population as “HUMAN SHIELDS” to protect themselves from attack!”

Normal ,centuries old tactics.

“The only way we’ll ever win an election is by making it harder for citizens on the fringes to vote!” - The party that won its elections for the House, Senate and Presidency just over a year ago.

Remember when Arizona turned its ballots over to a private Trump-allied security firm for a massive audit and found a whole bunch of fraud?

Arizona “audit” finds Biden won (by more votes) and no evidence of fraud

Oh, oops, would you look at that… But, was anything like fraud found?

If you’re calling any potential irregularity “fraud” I guess… But it was Republicans who were more likely to have voted twice.

The real question is, do you think it’s more important that eligible American citizens have a chance to vote, or is it more important to you to put up barriers such that ineligible people cannot? Would it be worth it to you to make it impractical or impossible for one rural voter, or one voter who’s house burned down, or one whose parents never gave them their birth certificate, etc to vote, if it blocks non-citizens from registering? What if it blocked a hundred eligible voters? A thousand? Between 3.8 and 20 million? Would you be willing to give up your vote for the chance that it might stop the registration of someone ineligible, who probably won’t vote anyway? That’s the real question. Where is your priority?

(Edited for clarity)

For many the ideal priority would be to return to the time before 1859 when in many states only property owning white men could vote. It wasn’t until 1924 that Native Americans could vote. In 1961 residents in Washington DC could finally vote for president. But then in 2021 the Supreme Court removed most provisions of the Voting Rights Act and efforts to restrict voting have increased even though cases of voting fraud is statistically meaningless in national elections.

Many Democrats? Or are you inferring something else?

That is the ultimate example of cult thinking and cult speak. Let’s ignore reality and use magic thinking to instill fear in fellow mentally defective cult members. This is the same logic that is eroding the freedoms that built this country. It is the same logic used by dictators to enrich themselves while reducing their supporters to poverty.

One of our supreme leader’s role models native language included the idiom “halz und beinbruch” which was meant to wish someone good luck. I would offer that wish for you but thanks to your supreme leader, a broken leg or neck would bankrupt you and leave you and your family living on the street. I will just leave it with another idiom, “be careful what you wish for.”

Not to mention “Citizens United” which made it legal for billionaires and corporations to own their personal senator or congressman. Look what that has got us!

and the Citizens United suit which opened the spigots of bribery was championed by Koch and the Cato people. The same people who hate the Jones Act and love Project 2025 which is moving along nicely for them.

We point out that even their own side can’t find evidence of significant election fraud. They cover their ears.

We were told that tariffs would increase American manufacturing jobs. We warned them the opposite would occur. And the number of jobs has declined.

We were told DOGE would save trillions of dollars. It was a fiasco, according to Musk.

We were told the Houthi pirates were going to be ruthlessly wiped out. They are still sinking ships.

We were told inflation stopped as of January 2025. Buy a gallon of gas.

We warned them we would be sucked into another war, after just having extricated ourselves from the worst bits of the last war. They didn’t listen to us.

But they call us deranged.

Leave it to a right wing senator in France to sum things up.

That was surpisingly plain spoken, powerful and damning.

I have sent the link to a few of my friends. It deserves wider publicity.

Agree, a powerful speech with no excuses or lies, only facts presented clearly and affirmatively. No bla, bla, bla.

That is really refreshing and different from what we get from other politicians and leaders, especially those in too large shoes, figuratively speaking. (You read into that whatever you like)

Yes The Daily Show is a comedy, but sometime it is worth paying attention to what even comedians say:

PS: Maybe even more who their guests are and what THEY say.

Even without guests in the studio comedians can SOMETIME make a lot of sense:

note that behind the iron curtain the ruling gangs of commies and proletariat ‘s dictatorship feared the comedians most and hunted them down intently. Comedians were their biggest enemies as they exposed to public the corruption of the system .

The comedians of the 80ties ridiculing the system have now the veteran status .
