how can I endorse my documents so i can sail on American ships?
I was born in the USA and I have a valid USA passport. From age of 2 years old I am not living in America.
For the last 3 years I was 3rd mate on big container vessels (mostly Liberian flagged).
Can I apply to work on American vessels?
Do I have to go through the exams again?
What is the procedure?

the USA has no “endorsement” licenses. You have to apply for an original USCG license and take the exams. As long as you are a US citizen you should get your application considered by the USCG. You will need all your STCW courses to be retaken at USCG approved schools as well.
Where is your “original” license from…Liberia or another nation? If it is a European issued license, you’ll have an easier time.
