The last administration committed the USN to large scale bombardment of the Houthis. They only stopped during the interregnum to allow the present administration to set their own agenda.
The present administration simply resumed the military campaign begun by the prior administration, though they tried to brand it as something different. No change in result.
Then they widely ballyhooed that they were embarking on a campaign of targeted assassinations of Houthi leadership that would be unrelenting.
They never began the campaign. They just walked away from the whole thing.
A new campaign would be for the West to boycott the Suez Canal entirely until Egypt and other Arab countries deal with Yemen, by interdicting all war materials flowing to it from Iran. Egypt had deep military experience with Yemen. Egypt relies on canal fees. Cut off that source of income and Egypt will be motivated.
Moreover, deny any Chinese ship that uses the canal port entry in a U.S./EU port and China will be incentivized to either take military action against the Houthis, or to influence Iran to stop them supplying the Houthis.
All of this would make a U.S./EU problem into a Chinese/Arab problem.
The only problem is all this would take a true leader and negotiator.
The only ones starving babies in Gaza are Hamas. They love starving babies because they can pluck the heartstrings of gullible foreigners (like you) to vent against Israel, and send heaps more dollars for Hamas weapons, tunnels and to support the extravagant lifestyles of their remote leaders in Qatar.

I donāt know where you get you news from, but it is abundantly clear from multiple sources that Israel is doing just that right now. Not just from reliable news media, but from several Governments, UN bodies and aid organizations on the ground in Gaza.

We ALL get our news from Gaza from one of two sources. Israeli or Hamas. There are no others. Thereās no independent journalists in Gaza. The ones resident there are regurgitating Hamas propaganda, including Hamas actors creating ānewsā clips of disaster, wounded and dead and, no doubt, starving babies. Havenāt you seen the clips of the dead in body bags splashed with fake blood having a quick cigarette before atrocity propaganda filming starts.
The UN has been complicit in Hamas atrocities and even hosted Hamas in its own buildings. UN workers kept hostages starving in their homes. The Red Cross/Crescent is just as bad and have yet to visit a single hostage or check who is alive as they are required to do under the laws of war. The so-called aid agencies and medical ones are shamelessly pro-Hamas or at least anti-Israel so what they say is clouded by bias. Why you would gullibly swallow their propaganda is beyond me.
Or you can use Israeli reports from soldiers in Gaza. They donāt match up, but at least the Israelis are constrained by their own independent media which isnāt under the threat of death or torture as the Hamas media is.
