What a shitty new design! Lol! I would be embarrassed to put out a NEW boat looking like that. 1970 called and they want their design back. Maybe call it the boat truck commander
What are you, 6 years old? I don’t mind how it looks because I know it will ride well. Personally, I can’t wait to get there and see it in person!
I am 12 thank u very much.

A supply boat ride well? You serious? They all ride like shit. Nothing like a barge with a pointy end and some holes for thrusters. Ah it ride well, no doubt. These companies could give two shits if it rides well, all long as it has the capacities that’s all that matters.

HOS Coral> M/V Geysir… End of story

End of story? HA! Maybe you need to stop telling one by saying a supply boat rides well. Might as well say a crew boat rides well also.
I don’t believe I said all OSVs ride well, I said this one will. You don’t have to work on it so why do you even care what I think about it?
You’ve herd the old saying, Evander Hollyfield is old and ugly be he will kick your ass…

Doesn’t matter if I work on it. When I hear some makes claims to a vessel thats going to ride well, like ALL the ones you work one is bull shit. Never said you made the claim that all OSV ride well either.
I’m not a fan either. A 320 foot boat that only sleeps 24 is kinda sad. They could have at least redesigned the house maybe added another deck. Such a big boat and if It gets specialty job or something the extra personnel will have to live in containers outside. At least the other boats come standard sleeping 50 and the 310 MPSV will sleep 75. All of the companies building OSV’s also need to consider a designated workout space. Trying to cram stuff in the lounge or using up a stateroom is no bueno.

Now I agree with this. Only sleeping 24 on a boat of this size is a little crazy. If it gets a speciality job and martin quarters are needed, a new can of worms will be opened. From my understanding, it will then fall under the construction class COI which will require all the officers to have an unlimited license.
And I still stand beside my comment about this vessel will ride well. You want something that won’t pitch and roll? Get a shore side job…

Thats wishful thinking on the coi. Ask the guys on the Harvey Deep Seas if there an unlimited coi. You can say whatever you want about it being construction, but all these OSV companies find a loop hole with the 6000.

Yea I’m sure you’re right about that.
When the captain that I was working with made the comment about lack of living quarters, he was told HOS would swap the 320 for a 310 or 300 so that the COI wouldn’t change. Seems like a little bit of wishful thinking if you ask me, but maybe they could work it out. Who knows.
How well a boat rides is relative to your prior experience. If you’ve ever been on a HOS 190 class…,
