The Weinberger doctrine was introduced November, 1984. The terrorist event (executed by Hezbollah) where Mr. Stethem was murdered was a hijacking (not a bombing) in June, 1985.
Facts are good… Relevant facts are better.

There is one state that is now regularly committing casual extra-judicial murder of obviously non-combatant civilians, and then gleefully publishing the snuff videos!
Sorry, I missed the date. I was assuming you were hinting at the BIIIG bang in 1983 that killed 307 people, of which 16 were civilians.
How many Iranian civilians are you willing to sacrifice to REVENGE killing of 241 U.S. and 58 French military personnel an 16 Lebanese civilians in 1983?
The bombing was carried out suicide bombers from one of the sides in the Lebanese civil war. It MAY, or may not, have been instigated by Iran, but that have never been proven, even by US investigations.
The ONE US soldier killed in a hijacking in 1985 is tragic, but doesn’t justify killing millions of innocent Iranian civilians over 40 years later.
Hopefully we have got past the stage in history where “Might means Right”. Looking at the developments in the last two years (and some of the posts here) there are stil SOME people who think that having "power " means you can do what you want without consequences. ![]()
I HOPE they are WRONG
Like hell it doesn’t. You know they tortured him for days first right? F’ing animals. It’s payback time. Maybe you don’t know since you have selective content distribution. Besides, tell that to the surviving Norwegian civilian and resistance victims from WW2.
I wasn’t implying that revenge for the numerous terrorist acts conducted by Iran or proxies that Iran directly funds is a justification for the current conflict. I was simply correcting your reply.
However, keeping all these atrocities in mind IS very important so that we don’t forget who we’re dealing with. It is exactly this history up to and including the barbaric October 7 attacks that DIRECTLY and INTENTIONALLY targeted civilians that show PRECISELY why Iran absolutely CANNOT be allowed to posses a nuclear weapon.
BTW, the “directly and intentionally” part regarding civilian casualties is a key difference for those idiots trying to draw equivalencies between US military actions and what this Iranian regime has been responsible for.
I’ve not seen one person on here express hate for America or wish for victory for Iran. If you think second guessing reasons for war equals America hate or a wish for victories for her foes, there is a long list of past patriots that you’re going to lump into this category.
Also economic concerns should not be the main reason people are for or against war. War is far too much of a moral question than to support it depending on how it affects your, or anyone’s economy.
I personally think this war is/was foolish and was very poorly planned while hoping/assuming for the best, with no true or realistic vision for the aftermath; very similar to the other wars we started this century. However, like those other wars that I also opposed, I absolutely hope for a true and lasting victory for our forces that leads to secure peace for all. Unfortunately none of our wars of this century have achieved that, so I have little faith this one will be different.
So we’re talking proxies now? Do we really need to go down the list of who and what governments the U.S. has supported over the years and what sort of things these “proxies” have done?
First there’s this:
which is actually pretty similar to the despicable October 7th stuff.
A list of dictators and strongmen the U.S. has supported over the years includes:
Augusto Pinochet (Chile)
Saddam Hussein (Iraq)
Anastasio Somoza Garcia (Nicaragua)
Manuel Noriega (Panama)
Carlos Humberto Romero (El Salvador)
Fulgencio Batista (Cuba)
Ferdinand Marcos (Philippines)
Suharto (Indonesia)
Policarpo Juan Paz García (Honduras)
Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (Iran)
Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Saudi Arabia)
just to name a few…
Any one who is aware of the U.S.'s track record in supporting some pretty unsavory proxies, should be very careful in accusing Iran as somehow abominable due to some not all together unique guilt by association.
So, for you, 5 rouge members of the El Salvadorian National Guard raping and murdering 4 missionaries is equivalent to a coordinated attack by 6-7,000 terrorists, across 119 entry points, firing 4,000+ rockets, killing 1,200 people, injuring 3,400, and capturing 251? Is your anti-Trump/anti-US/US guilt/white guilt/(whatever your complex is) so strong that this makes sense to you?
Regarding the rest of your list, did the US sponsor those regimes with the explicit goal of targeting civilian populations? (Iran has). Did the US sponsor those regimes with the explicit goal of wiping another nation off the face of the Earth? (Iran has). Did the US sponsor those regimes to launch attacks on merchant ships in international shipping lanes? (Iran’s proxies have). So, no, I don’t accept your attempt to say our history and what Iran is doing with its proxies is equivalent.
So, in summary, what’s your point? Even if your what-about-isim of the US’s history with funding causes in outside governments is acknowledged, are you saying that gives Iran freedom to do whatever they want? Is the below statement only in reference to others or do you include yourself as well?
Have you got the numbers for civilians killed by IDF in Gaza since 7. Oct. 2023?
Or the number of civilians killed by US and Israel bombing in Iran during their attack in June, 2025?
Or since their renewed attack / undeclared and unauthorized war started 28. Febr. 2026?
What about the number of civilians killed by Israel’s actions in Libanon this last few years?
How many innocent Iranian, Palestinian and Lebanese are you willing to sacrifice, before your lust from blod and revenge are satisfied?
As you probably know, not ALL Iranian, Palestinian and Lebanese are members of IIRG, Hamas, or Hezbollah.
It is the innocent civilians, incl. thousands of children, that suffer the most, not the terrorist.
Herr Bugge.
Some wisdom from this local " sewage tank ".
And last but not least the two here in the link will discuss what is concentration camp . For further study check. who created and financed Hamas and to what purpose , so some fanatic Christian zionists here can get educated. But what can one expect from a creature who emerged here in 2010 from a mud boat in GOM wiping oily floors with cotton rags.
Those in your list were horrible dictators that oppressed their own people, not terrorists. They were not our proxies either.
None of those dictators armed and trained foreign terrorists to commit suicide bombings, build and place IEDs, and commit atrocities like the Houthis, Hamas, or Hezbollah.
You make a totally false comparison.
The people who say things like “if the US can have nukes, then Iran has a right have nukes too.” Or suggest that the US Government is just as evil as the Islamic terrorist regime in Iran are either uniformed fools, or they are blinded by their anti-American bias.
I haven’t checked out this thread in months. But since I was flagged here by someone quoting me.
Concerning the death of Israeli to Palestinian civilians. In the latest conflict the elected terrorist organization, Hamas, that represents the people of Gaza negotiationed for the release of 1 innocent raped/murded Israeli citizen for the release of every 85 convicted in the court of law criminal/terrorist/murderer/rapist Palestinian. When that was in the headlines I assumed Israel would respect the ratio set by Hamas & would continue fighting until 102,000 Gazans had been killed (85x1,200). Israel is only up to 73,000. Still 50k away to respect the standards set by the elected officials of Gaza. In hindsight, the people of Gaza shouldn’t have elected a known terrorist organization like Hamas to represent them. But considering all the Gazans in the streets celebrating when the naked, dead raped body of German-Israeli Shani Louk was being paraded through the streets, maybe the Gazans are happy with their governments set ratio?
Concerning the US’s murder of innocent civilians in Iran. Inexcusable. Still no where near the number of innocent protesters that the Iranian Government killed from December 2025 to present but still inexcusable.
BTW, maybe interesting research, check the historic prisoner exchange ratio between Israel & the terrorist organizations that hate Jews. It has been as high as 1,000:1, recently 85:1 & once as low as 3:1. Israel really values the life of Jewish folks in Israel. Maybe if the leaders of Iran, Hamas & Hezbollah felt the same about their citizens they would find peace? As long as the hate of Jews & the love of war is stronger than love of their citizens, they will always be war in that region. So probably war forever or until one side kills all on the other.
Emphasis mine. Do note that not everyone who lives in Israel is Jewish. A shame that they don’t value the life and voice of all citizens equally. I would hate to live in a country that gave preferential treatment to people of a certain religion or ethnicity. Unfortunately governments giving preferential treatment for certain groups is very common in that part of the world.
" The people who say things like “if the US can have nukes, then Iran has a right have nukes too.” Or suggest that the US Government is just as evil as the Islamic terrorist regime in Iran are either uniformed fools, or they are blinded by their anti-American bias. "
US have nukes and is the only country that used the. Opinions vary if such action was justified. I would use it but not on heavy populated area for demonstration purposes.
Regading " uninformed fools" i see quite a lot here including those who make idiotic claims they fought us ( Germans ) hard und mit fire
during wwII .
Western front was a SPA, according to my grandpa and many payed fortunes to avoid the eastern front meat grinder.
From attachment here -SOURCE AI , one may do the math and conclude who is a rogue , violent , murderous state . But may be AI is also uninformed fool , when it spits out results that are not fitting somebodys mental paranoia.
USA the merchant of death .pdf (366.9 KB)
and it looks like 60 minutes below is also filled with uninformed fools.
In conclusion the Iranian Islamic terrorist regime can not even hold a candle to the mother of all evil somewhere else.
There is a mental condition called cognitive dissonanse .
My father served through WWII in the navy.
Thanks for the info what one can use only to guess your age .
85-87 ? Am I in the ballpark ?
So with Herr Bugge and couple of other one toothed cocodrillos combined you are older then Egyptian mummies.
My father served throughout WWII in the navy. His first action was The River Plate Battle in 1939 and his last was a shore bombardment of Japan that was after Nagasaki had been obliterated by the plutonium bomb Fat Man. He received a medal from Russia for the Arctic Convoys he took part in.
He heard enough to want to be boots on the ground anywhere and the crews of navy and merchant navy vessels suffered enough in Russia never mind what happened ashore. My father said by the time they returned to the UK everyone onboard had enough room in their uniform for a twin.
Just as an aside there were a number of reunions of the crews of The River Plate action, British, New Zealand and German. One of the last was attended by the daughter of Captain Langsdorff.
Just about prime age to get into politics!
Ya. Und you can afford a squad of licenced nurses following your every move with diapers.
That close to death, you still can make your family fortune , that will last for 1000 years and finally build your IV Reich.
We got directions wrong & instead of pushing east we should go west into fertile grounds and admired eugenics theories , KKK marches und IBM machines und programs for good inventories and ROB counting.
Not to mention great und friendly help and contributions to our FARBEN industry.
