Great Lake Warriors

I caught “Great Lake Warriors” for the first time last night.

They’re kidding, right?
Idiots + Boats = drama

If they were doing everything right there would be nothing to watch.

There will be drama. Trust me, it’s not all staged, they are that stupid.
Sir…you nailed “reality Cable programming” perfectly…

IDIOTS + ANYTHING = SHIT THAT OTHER IDIOTS WILL WATCH

I watched last night - It sucked.

I’m getting sea sick just thinking about it!

Is that why you watched it?
Is that why you watched it?
What do you think?

What’s next…" Fourchon Warriors "
What’s next…" Fourchon Warriors "
Thats kind of what I was thinking. The Discovery/History Channel is going to find some mom and pop crew boat company, and behold…Fourchons Finest!

I can see it now…“No, we don’t do too much paperwork around here, it gets kind of cumbersome. We just report to the office when its crew change.”

I finally caught an episode, I had to force myself to watch all of it. Either these guys are dangerously incompetent, incredibly stupid, everything is staged, or maybe even all of the above. They must have went to every port in the Lakes and found the lowest bottom tier tug company to film on, these guys are the cream of the dirtbag crop. Seeing these dirty boats that are filled up with cigarette smoke all of the time, dirty crewmen, nasty engine room, makes me glad to work for the company that im at.

A “suicide” mission HAHAHA!!! Any captain who thinks its necessary to go on a “suicide” mission needs his ticket pulled. Did anyone else notice that when he had his “engine troubles” he magically went from towing to pushing gear and back again?? And I have never heard of an engineer putting a box fan in front of an EMD to help cool it down, maybe a small Detroit but not a big ass EMD.

And where do I get a cool handle like “The Legend?” Anyone who calls himself “The Legend” must be a narcissistic asshole who most likely cant run a boat.

In reality I know the Lakes can get pretty rough and need to be respected, but if this group of “mariners” to put it very loosely is what they have to work with up there then I feel bad for the USCG and the CCG, they must have their hands full.

That would be at the ‘Intersection’ of what’s right and what’s wrong.

Proof that there are professionals in every industry. And conversely… In any industry are un professional examples just waiting to get whacked. I guess the good word is that these guys spend a good portion of each year iced in, and are collecting unemployment… Oh shit. Where’s my big pointy stick. CC, may I please?

Wait, wait, wait, wait. A box fan to cool down an EMD? Oh, like it has a radiator? That is going to have NO EFFECT whatsoever on the the operating temperature of an EMD. No, don’t check the water flow through the heat exchanger or over the keel coolers. . . . Or throttle back. . . . . To be fair, it wouldn’t work on a Detroit either. Oh, man, I have really been too busy to watch this show. I think that I am going to have to just to get my cardio in now.

Box fan to cool a marine diesel. Please. . . . . . .

One “show” was enough, cmakin, wonder how much money these clowns are getting.

some rules for this “fleet” are:

 1. Never do or fix anything right if there’s a snowballs chance in hell that doing it wrong will save you $1.00
 2. Act surprised when the bubble gum holding the rudder on falls off during 4’ seas
 3. Train everyone on the crew to adhere to the first 2 rules.

If you keep this kind of crap up for say, 40 years on the Great Lakes you will be a “legend” although not the kind that people respect.

Never mind the box fan… I had no idea the cooling system controlled the rpm of the engine. Perhaps he was trying to cool the air from the blower to make more hp like an aftercooler?! It’s awesome to see how they never bother to check the fuel filters. Great Lakes Super Chief Warrior!

Oh, that was the problem? Not enough RPMs? Wait, he was super supercharging. Yeah. That would work. . . . Sigh.

What? Of course its true. You’ve never heard of an air cooled engine!

This show reminds me of these ''reality" shows that permeate TV. They surely are real shows. But the ‘reality’ they show is far removed from what is the normal and what is professionaly accepted. (Not just GLW, but all of them.)

I feel sorry for Bruce Jenner having to live Kardashian. It makes me actually respect Ozzie and Sharon more with each new show that comes out.

The show sucked. I will me amazed if it makes its full run on TV.

Further, its giving Great Lakes Mariners a bad name. Not all of us are stupid.

The ratings say a lot! Lost almost half the viewers in one week! I wonder if the Olympics will effect the ratings! I know what I’m watching.

Dvr the Olympics…GLW is the funniest show on tv! I’m definetely going to watch
