I read this book many years ago. The Jews( or jewish tribes) and the populations living there were butchering each other for thousands of years. We will never ever see real peace there unless one will kill the other.
You can not solve the problem, which is deeply rooted in religious beliefs , vengeance and/or retribution. You can not reason with people who claim they are special God sent and who claim their land was God given.

You have brought up the history predating the Holocaust, then “micro” Israel history of an assassination following the partition IAW UN resolution, and then a regional NPT.
Nearly 8 decades after what Germany did to the Jews, and after the UN tried to right the wrong and declare Israel a country, it seems the world has forgotten the Holocaust and wants to undo what was done. It is unlikely to be successful.

Hamas started this war by killing and raping 1200 Jews and took another 250 hostage. Hamas knew that Israel would react vigorously and violently by destroying Gaza and killing tens of thousands of Gazans.
In this war 250 Israeli troops killed and 15,000 Hamas fighters killed. Somewhere between 20,000 and 35,000 civilians out of a 2.3 million population (most of which appear to be terrorist supporters) have been killed. That level of civilian casualties in urban warfare should not be unexpected. It is far from genocide.
Killing 7 million Jews with the specific intention of wiping out the Jewish race during the Holocaust is what genocide looks like.
Millions of Palestinians, millions of other Arabs, and US College Students, chanting “From The River To The Sea” is advocating a second Holocaust to wipeout the Jews and eliminate Israel. That’s advocating genocide.
Far from it, Israel has used that as an excuse for every act of apartheid and land grab ever since. The rest of the world has acquiesced to Israel in collective shame for its silence before 1948. Netanyahu and his predecessors have capitalized on that shame while committing micro versions of what the Nazis perfected. If the USA had sanctioned Israel for the same policies that applied to South Africa the current situation would probably not exist.
Selective recollection of sections of an historical timeline may be convenient for your argument but hardly a solid foundation on which to argue that the current Israeli government is any better or different than those other apartheid regimes. The current policy of crying antisemitism every time a legitimate criticism of Israeli war crimes is made only fuels the flames that lead to the atrocity that lead to today’s atrocities and provides Hamas and Netanyahu with job security for generations to come.
