Neighboring countries have already made it abundantly clear they want nothing to do with Palestinians.
Well, maybe Isreal will convince the supporters of those countries to “make them an offer”.
Poor Jordan is chock full of Palestinian refugees.
Maybe Isreal should be “made an offer” to allow aid through the border crossings.
I really don’t know how else a humanitarian disaster can be avoided.
I read this book many years ago. The Jews( or jewish tribes) and the populations living there were butchering each other for thousands of years. We will never ever see real peace there unless one will kill the other.
You can not solve the problem, which is deeply rooted in religious beliefs , vengeance and/or retribution. You can not reason with people who claim they are special God sent and who claim their land was God given.
One can not build on religious myth aspecially in XXI century. One can not negotiate with folks who can not tolerate any criticism , judgement or opinion ,which they may not like and who immediately label the critics as antisemite. Which is a stupid argument as all living there are semites .
You can not even open your mouth saying you do not like something and immediately some Zionist will tell " you sucked antisemitism from your mother tits" . Some people can get fed up whith such attitudes.
Interesting book as all Micheners books .
You must have slept through several of those classes. Or is it more convenient to skip over the Balfour Declaration which “ethnically cleansed” Palestine of its native residents in 1917 and created the Stern Gang. Did you not learn which group Britain declared to be the regional terrorists, the ones who murdered the UN representative Folke Bernadotte. Have you ever heard of the NPT other than when used to define a pipe thread? Just in case you missed that class as well, it is the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, look it up and see how it selectively applies to the region, or not. Ethnic cleansing, genocide, and the profound hypocrisy
of politicians groveling for campaign funds is not the sole purview of long since defeated regimes.
I only know Kevin S from what you have put on this forum: Profile - Seadog6726 - gCaptain Forum
No I don’t. I do respect you for serving your country, but I disagree with your attitude towards innocent women and children that is now suffering and dying in Gaza and the way you disrespect them.
You want respect, show some respect for others.
The UN has also told Isreal to come to a ceasfire agreement, hows that going? Its apparent Isreal’s idea of crowd control is to shoot at the crowd. You run an aid convoy into a reigon with widspread stavation, its not exactly going to be a civil, orderly afair. This is a logisitical nightmare, not exactly driving a truck full of tuna cans into Louisiana
And any reporters who witness the shooting.
Exactly. The UN needs to grow a pair and fulfill its mandate: " The Charter of the United Nations gives the Security Council the power and responsibility to take collective action to maintain international peace and security."
Hey Chief, you might want to turn down the superheat, before you lift your safeties! Your sarcastic reply is neither appreciated or warranted. Like anything else, history is either micro or macro. It may be modern or “old world”. My post was to the “macro” history of “modern Israel” - since its formation after WW2. You have brought up the history predating the Holocaust, then “micro” Israel history of an assassination following the partition IAW UN resolution, and then a regional NPT.
Nearly 8 decades after what Germany did to the Jews, and after the UN tried to right the wrong and declare Israel a country, it seems the world has forgotten the Holocaust and wants to undo what was done. It is unlikely to be successful.
Some years ago I grew tired of too much talk about the Holocaust. It was beating a dead horse. How could anyone forget?
Now we seem to have too many people who are basically unaware of the Holocaust, or who think it’s ancient history and no big deal, and more and more Holocaust deniers. Hitler killed millions of Jews.
Hamas started this war by killing and raping 1200 Jews and took another 250 hostage. Hamas knew that Israel would react vigorously and violently by destroying Gaza and killing tens of thousands of Gazans.
In this war 250 Israeli troops killed and 15,000 Hamas fighters killed. Somewhere between 20,000 and 35,000 civilians out of a 2.3 million population (most of which appear to be terrorist supporters) have been killed. That level of civilian casualties in urban warfare should not be unexpected. It is far from genocide.
Killing 7 million Jews with the specific intention of wiping out the Jewish race during the Holocaust is what genocide looks like.
Millions of Palestinians, millions of other Arabs, and US College Students, chanting “From The River To The Sea” is advocating a second Holocaust to wipeout the Jews and eliminate Israel. That’s advocating genocide.
Far from it, Israel has used that as an excuse for every act of apartheid and land grab ever since. The rest of the world has acquiesced to Israel in collective shame for its silence before 1948. Netanyahu and his predecessors have capitalized on that shame while committing micro versions of what the Nazis perfected. If the USA had sanctioned Israel for the same policies that applied to South Africa the current situation would probably not exist.
Selective recollection of sections of an historical timeline may be convenient for your argument but hardly a solid foundation on which to argue that the current Israeli government is any better or different than those other apartheid regimes. The current policy of crying antisemitism every time a legitimate criticism of Israeli war crimes is made only fuels the flames that lead to the atrocity that lead to today’s atrocities and provides Hamas and Netanyahu with job security for generations to come.
No, they just started this flare up in conflict with that. You act like Israel has been innocent and peaceful and not brutally terrorizing the land they occupy for decades.
Semi off-topic but I’m amazed how enthused are college students are concerning Israel and Palestine, and yet not a peep from them concerning their future here, while they are slowly being taxed, regulated and upcharged into servitude.

They haven’t met reality just yet. Their parents are still supporting them.
Isn’t it true the source of the current problem can be traced back to the UN’s partitioning?
[I don’t know what the delegates were thinking when they did it; the land distribution on a map looks like a bad case of acne on a teenager.]
Isn’t it true Israel’s neighbors attacked Israel shortly afterwards?
Isn’t it also true Israel’s neighbors attacked in 1967?
Isn’t it true Israel attacked the USS Liberty [Despicable!]
Isn’t it true Israel’s neighbors attacked in 1973
Isn’t it true that Iran is funding & training Hamas?
Isn’t it true there was a defect cease-fire in effect on 06Oct23?
You are the one raising the issue of apartheid regimes. It doesn’t appear Israel is very apartheid.

Look, I’m not suggesting Israel hasn’t done some shitty things [Liberty; settlements], but they aren’t the ones crying “DEATH TO IRAN. DEATH TO PALASTINE. DEATH TO USA”.
We’re gonna have to agree to disagree, Steamer. I’ve turned off my superheat. FWE. Going “cold-iron”.
There appears to be a shipment heading for the pier
Where is the pier now ?
The pier will allow the “refugees” an easy way to walk aboard the big boat to America so they can become a festering wound in our sides, and be provided to by the already overburdened taxpayer.
