The electric boats will transport garbage bags over the water to the waste processor, the municipality reported on Friday. This should relieve heavy garbage trucks in the city center and weak quays of the canals. The trial lasts six months and takes place around the Red Light District and Nieuwmarkt.

The electric one looks a bit more sophisticated than the ones I saw in Venice.
They seem careful not to spill the stuff and have some trash ending up in the canal.
