Well, let’s have a reality check here. Since we are all morally upright citizens here and our purity gives us the strength of ten men, you may not know this, but any American who has been arrested for drug posession or a violent felony gets a complementary cavity search pretty well universally. It isn’t a stretch to think that Israel may have similar rules, especially given their opponents’ penchant for improvising a fatal funnel on the regular.
A trustafarian accustomed to being in a protected class would likely feel violated by having guests sail up their Windward Passage, I would think.
…and it isn’t just in the US (or Israel). You go to visit your watch partner who objected to getting rolled by off-duty cops at a bar in Rio Haina, you’re gonna get served an ice cold Butt Light prior to saying hello.

And as all before them, were processed as stupid pre-trespassers.
I have to wonder, if they did get closer or make land fall, would they then become combatants? Walking targets for either faction? Next handful of hostages?
Either way, these pre-trespassers were still just stupid media tools. The clothes on their backs and fuel/equipment from the boats (not cargo) could offer more relief than anything else with them.
