It was terrifying at the time, but Mohammed thought it was an act of God. Now he was able to swim ashore every few days, buy food and recharge his phone.
BTW; How he got money to buy food is not explained.

He could stay ashore only for two hours as that area was a military zone.
It is downright scandalous and inhuman how this seaman was treated and that by a court order. They should put the judge in his place and then see what happens.
