Hello all,

Apologies that this is my first post here!

I’d like to try and spread the word about my Facebook page, called “British Seafarers”. We currently have just over 2,750 members, and I’d like to try and push this further. I understand that this is an American owned page, but I know many of my friends have liked the page on Facebook and I thought there may be some British Seafarers registered here.

I often post news and anything of interest from the British Merchant Navy as it is today, as well as international news.

Perhaps it may be of some interest to you all.

If this is against forum rules to “advertise”, then please remove it. My main objective for the page is purely to help create a British Seafarer community.

Hello all,

I’d like to thank those so far who have liked the page. We’ve had a very good response and have had many American and Canadian users who have liked us.

I’d like to add as a result of that that we welcome you and that you are all welcome to like us. I did not mention this originally as I did not expect such a great interest in us from over the pond!
