I am a 100 Ton Master (Great Lakes and Inland) piloting ferry, tour boat and decking on Lake Champlain. I have a fishing charter business and towing and salvage business on Champlain as well. My season from mid April through October is good but winter job relegated to decking is tough. I have a recently acquired AB unlimited any waters with STCW Lifeboatman and of course a TWIC. I want to upgrade to near costal 100 T so I need to log a few more days of sea time near costal. I’m looking to apply the AB or just go south or to the east coast to work/mate on a commercial or charter fishing vessel over the winter.
