Good day fellow mariner…just wanna ask on my situation right now i just passed my Third Asst. engr.Unlimited motor and wanted to get me a endorsement of Chief engr. limited near coastal motor.Should i still need to get another examination in order for me to get this endorsement?because my evaluator wanted me to take another examination so that they can give me that endorsement but ive seen on 46CFR 3.1.5 states that "a chief engr. near coastal desiring to crossover to Third asst. engr. unlimited motor is to be tested on all Third asst.motor modules regardless of the issuing date of their chief engineer.As what i understand with this a Third Engr. unlimited license is bigger that the chief engr. limited near coastal so why should i still need to take another examination if im correct with what i understood a third unlimited is higher that Chief limited near coastal endorsement.Can somebody help me with this issue.Thank you very much in advance for your help.God bless…
