ECO Tractor Tugs For Sale

Seems ECO is selling 4 of their tractor tugs…

http://athearnmarine.com/list_detail.a5w?fileno=TB4009

been for sale for a long time now since the LNG project they were build for fizzled

They probably need the cash to avoid serious financial troubles, just like everyone else!

I wonder who might be interested in these?

Moran or McAllister on the east coast?
Foss or Crowley on the west coast?

Maybe Jeaux Boss. Perhaps he is looking to expand and get into the tug business?

But Jeaux Boss is the one selling them.

To tell you the truth I forgot that I owned these darn things. It’s kinda like digging under the couch cushions for your keys and finding a duffel bag full of cash. Why not sell them and put the money to good use? I got governors and senators to feed like everyone else.

They aren’t using those for the LNG export in Chenarie?? Where they built for the LNG plant in Lake Charles??

You’re right…I was thinking of any other bayou boss.

Cheniere us the name is the company, not a location.

They aren’t shitty enough for mcallister, and everyone else would rather build their own new equipment when it comes to tractors.

Of course I wouldn’t be surprised to see these in Valdez quite soon.

In typical Bayou fashion, I’m sure they’re asking more than what it took to build it. Just like buying an OSV for just over a million and trying to sell it for 10 million.

Maybe T Parker Host will buy them for Norfolk or Baltimore

That would be a riot. Mac and Moran would join forces to stop that.

Just to move coal scows? I don’t see it. Unless Host is going to make a move or has already moved on coal pier contract work.

Mac couldn’t team up to buy TP. Why would they even team up? They don’t work the same coal piers.

When a Foss tractor tug (from the defunct Constellation towing in Boston) showed up in the harbor one day a few years back the 2 GMs for Mac and Moran in VA went on full war mode. They (and the much higher ups in both companies) are not interested in a 3rd shipdocking company settling in in the harbor.

didn’t mac buy the foss tug that came into the harbor and named it the Matthew , the voith tug

At this point in time, a company like Foss and T. Parker Host are much different. But what is full war mode? I know Mark didn’t do anything physical, he doesn’t even walk 50 feet to visit his tugs.

Bought 3 boats from Foss when they decided to fold up shop in Boston.
