I am a recently qualified British Deck Officer, currently carrying out a dissertation on the role of the Designated Shipboard Training Officer (DSTO). I am interested in the views from all nationalities regarding the role of the Designated Shipboard Training Officers (DSTO’s) (Officers - Captain / Chief Engineer). I am interested in the views from ALL nationalities, particularly if you have undertaken the role of the DSTO for British cadets, or, your company is known to take on British cadets.
Please could you spare 2 minutes to fill out a completely anonymous, online questionnaire. (It is very quick, mainly yes/no questions), the results of which should help improve the training of UK deck cadets.
