Now that the Brent Alpha jacket has been safely and sustainably transported to Vats, it will end its lifecycle by being over 97% recycled.

Both are regulars in Vats, delivering decommissioned equipment from North Sea fields.

After the base were constructed in a drydock in Jåttåvågen:

World's largest heavy lift vessel carries oil platform to Shetland

Brown and Mason Group, which is decommissioning the platform, said it expects to recycle up to 97% of the steel and materials on board.
It will take between 12 to 18 months to break up. The company is employing about 30 people on the project.
