Debby Weakens over NE Gulf - Monday 25 June 2012

TS Debby appears to be weakening due to cooler ocean surface temperatures caused by upwelling and by dry air intrusion. This plus an increasing wind shear forecast will likely keep Debby from any significant re-intensification. Debby is moving northeastward at about 3 knots with gale force winds extending outward 80-90nm west, 100nm northeast and 210nm to the southeast. Debby is forecast to continue to drift very slowly towards the northeast during the next few days.
