Dealings with the NMC
Ive been blown away by the wording issues. Is there no standard? How could two people turn in the same thing and get slightly differently worded credentials?
To what are you referring?

Sorry for the rant. Just received my new mmc and its in a slightly different format. I noticed a usual error of no itc so i spoke with nmc and they added it. Why do we have to notice stuff like that why cant it just be standard?

They have it together, had an endorsment added to my licence the kept me updated 6 times in one day via email as to what stages it was in.
I think they are realy doing a good job

My 200 GRT Master had 500 ITC, upgraded to 500 GRT and now there is no mention of ITC.

Received my mate of towing and again there was not a glitch in the way they performed.

Submitted my application for raise in grade on April 9th. Received an email stating it is in the mail headed my way yesterday (April 25). During the process they sent me an email stating more information was requested… Just to F with me. When I called the NMC to see what was up she said don’t sweat it, it was a mistake. Pretty awesome heart-stopper… Other than that I’m pleased. Good luck.

I receive that on every single application. I hate to say it, but I believe that is standard operating procedure, I think it stops the clock to shorten their process time .

My latest transaction with NMC was only two weeks ago. I went through REC New York to submit my CG-792 B and it got lost in the shuffle. However, once I sent my Application package by email to REC Honolulu it was accepted and issued an application ID within two hours. It was smooth sailing after that; quick and without undue delay.

Finally!!! The service we have always deserved!

Went in April 9th in Boston for a renewal. NMC kept me updated with everything and sent an email it was in the mail to me on the 24th of April. The service was great this time around compared to 2 years ago.

Houston REC is AWESOME! Dropped off paperwork for my renewal and had everything back from the NMC in 7 days.
