China is working away though the Pacific Islands through loans that have strings attached. Through their diaspora in academia and any and all means open to them . I have friends who have relatives in Hong Kong who have had to become very circumspect with any comment or criticism of the government.

Looks like US Marines trousers with a US Army tunic, shirt and tie (won’t ever happen) and US Marines red-backed chevrons and US Marines white belt uniform (strangely with short sleeves that never appear) full punches a waitress (as if!), seemingly with zero effect on the woman (as if!) after she spills drinks on him and he abuses her verbally thereby not only disgracing his strange uniform, his Service (whatever that is) and his own manly code of conduct in a highly public way with the obvious consequence he’d lose those stripes and go to jail and, to top it all, gets put down for the count where his obviously strong arms are ineffective against her fly-weight sitting on him.
Doesn’t happen. Just doesn’t. Never happens.
