Want to cut the deficit by 5 trillion dollars quick and easy? Allow the 2018 Trump tax cut to expire as originally planned by Trump and approved overwhelmingly by Republican congressmen.
By allowing to happen what they wrote into law they could cut a huge chunk out of the deficit and that would dwarf any money “saved” by all their ‘cuts’ combined.

Trump loves to call others by spiteful nicknames. He does it all the time. But others can’t? Where’s the logic in that?
Shouldn’t the most powerful person on the planet be an example of decorum? Or is he special?
The cult calls him the most presidential president in the history of presidents. Shouldn’t the president be a role model for all Americans?
By calling people hateful nicknames I’m just doing what the president does.

That’s Trump. If we descend to that level, then we are no better. Yes, he does use some hateful nicknames, but I read nicknames at times that just plain obscene/vulgar from both sides. When I see a post starting out like that, no matter what thread I am reading, I immediately scroll on by or close. So anything someone is trying to get across has lost any chance to get their POV across.
The idea that anyone on a political thread is changing anyone else’s mind is quaint.
No one is changing anyone’s mind here. We are all entrenched in our ideologies.
If you accept that, you have to accept that everything written here by anyone is useless as an attempt to sway opinion, and therefore it is immaterial if anyone actually reads it.
Political threads are a source of amusement and a vent for anger, and a playground for the id to rampage through. Nothing more.
CJ could descend to any level and his cultists would give him a pass. There is no level that he could stoop to that the cult wouldn’t forgive him. Whatever he does the cult deludes itself that all possible replacements are even worse than him.
The idea that CJ’s behavior as president might cause far more damage than good never pauses the cult’s abject love of the Great Felon, a man they themselves admit is a pathological liar and a grifter.
The cult has the great mental capacity to reconcile the draining of a Swamp with CJ perpetrating the greatest stock market manipulation in the history of finance, the pardoning of tax cheats and fellow grifters, and the taking of bribes which aren’t bribes because I’m the president but are plainly bribes.
That’s what makes it a cult.
