Did you not notice that Musk got his chinese factory built and first production within 12 months.
Most others are 18 months to first production.
Sounds like you need more people of Chinese and South African decent running and working in your country.
Tesla isn’t doing well in China, BYD is eating their lunch. The US is behind China in many advanced areas. I was in Shanghai not long ago and had the same impression a columnist recently wrote.

They are now taking a lesson unfortunately to be fair under WTO regs all had to be punished.
