Bulker and LNG Carrier collides off Gibraltar

Bulker OS35 – IMO 9172399 – half sunk about 300m from the coast on the eastern side of Gibraltar. The bulker was leaving the Bay of Gibraltar after taking on bunkers when it hit the LNG tanker ADAM LNG, at approx. 2215 local time Monday evening, which was at anchor west of the Europa Point lighthouse. The OS35 started taking on waters and was quickly told by the Gibraltar Port Authorities to head to her present location which is shallow and on which there is a sandy seabed. No injuries have been reported and the bulker currently has her bow semi submerged resting on the seabed.
