Yeah, It’s in Maine right after that last big blizzard.
She was brought up this way by an organization called New England Lab Rescue, nice group of people who are doing good things for dogs that would otherwise probably face euthanization.

Ok, Here is my Macy. She is a Seven year old Golden / Cocker mix and is a rescue that would die protecting My Wife Her Mother.

I guess if I post one I had better post the other, so here is Little Sandi. She is a 4 year old Papillon.

Both of mine are rescues, I only planned on adopting one, but they were fostered together and were inseparable.

I got one of those too. He must be half Lab. He’s a little high strung but doing OK after a couple of years here in Mid-Coast

He hates guns of any kind and barks and growls when someone has one in the house. I fired a shotgun outside when I first got him and he took off full speed and didn’t come back for about 6 hrs.

I have two dogs now, both part labs, Big Old Dog and FULD. (cause of the two he’s the little dog)

This is Jake. My oldest daughter was already 3 years old when we got him. When my second daughter was born three years later, Jake was the protector. He was okay with mom holding her. When I held her, he would sit next to me and watch. If anyone else held her, he watched their every move from across the room and would growl. When baby would cry in her crib, Jake would stick his head in her bedroom door. Once she started walking, I guess he figured she had it under control. When our third came along 2 years later, I guess he figured we knew what we were doing.

What a nice post, pogey-poboy - Dogs are very perceptive and do not forget. BTW, what a happy face - those eyes, oh my goodness.
Off topic here, I use to visit your neck of the woods - loved those meat pies - and every food on the table - LoozeAnna Saturday Night

Yeah, he’s my buddy. I never took him hunting and I have always wondered what he would do if he caught one of those squirrels that he stalks in the backyard.

(I believe Nachitoches has the corner on meat pies. Then there is the self proclaimed world famous Zwolle tamale. I’m a little farther south than that, but yeah good food all around.)

Never made the Zwolle Tamale Fair (up near Nachitoches, I believe - I never could spell THAT word so I stole yours) but I’ve been to the Lafayette Cajun Festival a number of times, plus several New Orleans Jazz Fests. I loaded-up on food.

On the internet, no one knows you’re a dog.

I’ve always been a Dog Person.
Here is Mama Dog, with her two pups and me, back in the late 80’s.
I crashed, 14 hours maneuvering, finally made it home, showered-up, was going out for a few cold ones with friends but never made it off the bad.
I had company.
