I got a guy here that wants to sign up for Beacon Maritime Training’s DDE 1000/4000 course. I told him to sit and test first but he wants some formal training. The entire class and test is online. I’ve never heard of the school before. Does anyone here have experience with Beacon Maritime Training? Was your experience positive ?
Two guys I know took Beacon course (one oiler, one DDE) and said it’s very good.
I contacted the guy who runs it and he gave me a guided tour of one class. Good material and good supplemental stuff like videos.
My experience has always been online courses are harder to get through than in person classes because of the self discipline and no credit for just sitting in a seat.
