Hey everyone! I’m a 36 year old who was in the Navy for 10 years and now has no clue what to do with their life. I found some info about the Merchant Marines and thought it was right up my alley. Right now, my plans are to obtain my TWIC, Passport, and MMC and then hopefully go to an academy. My only concern is that I’m a disabled vet (general anxiety disorder, slight tinnitus, cysts in both hands). Will these kill my chances of passing the medical portion or should I still go for it? This career path is something I’m dead serious about and it checks a lot of boxes I have for a successful career.
