Anyone work on ALCOs?

Have a question the lines leading drains leading from the block under 8L and 8R. Is that to indicate a fuel leak from the failed seal from the snubber to the High pressure fuel?

Those drains lines were designed to handle the normal fuel pump seeps and leakage one would expect to encounter. I’ve seen them piped to a small tank with a float switch that pumped it back to the day tank and a high level alarm if the leakage became more significant. I have also seen them just piped as another drain to the ship’s waste oil/sav-oil tank. In both cases those engines were retrofitted with high pressure fuel line enclosures that piped any high pressure fuel leak to a separate tank equipped with an alarm.
