Low hanging fruit I wish companies would integrate with AI - Either training, or using off the shelf programs where a chatbot is trained off the SMS.
Tool box meeting and safety meetings, would be so much more effective with AI. Then if something happens, you can make a near miss or incident report from the same text thread where you did the tool box meeting, and everything is now being reported more accurately, and generating something that is actually beneficial to the safety culture.
But I’m sure it will be 40 years before anyone at management level gets around to trusting an LLM this much, so I’ll just let folks believe I’m just really good at writing up near miss reports.
What’s your take?
Marcura is introducing AI tools to augment - not replace - the capabilities of human shipping professionals. AI tools can create documents in minutes and review charterparties for inconsistencies, catching mistakes that could cost thousands of dollars. Human specialists still have to validate the output and own the outcome, since mistakes in managing a voyage can result in cascading costs.
