I went digging around posts from 2013 after searching and one guy was pissed off that 500T/1600T could take 3 tests fail 3 then go back and test for 3. I looked around the CFR 11.217 I could not find were this information is. Does that still hold true today? On the other hand if they are the same test as 3rd why would the lower tonnage get a pass? Makes no sense if the tests are the same.
Prior to 2014 there were different rules for unlimited than 500/1600 GRT. The current rule is the same for all officer endorsements.
