2M/CM hawspipe upgrade questions

I am beginning the process to upgrade to CM unlimited and would appreciate the input/suggestions from those of you who have recently done so.
I am using the new CM checklist on the NMC and have the following questions. Does the assessor that signs off the PL 04-02 assessments have to
be a CM or Master unlimited or has that been changed? I am on a OSV over 3000 GT and have several 2M shipmates that are available as assessors.

What exam software do you recommend for a MAC?

On my Mac i went with Lapware it worked great. I also used all the books to study from. I’ll sell the books, reference material thats in the exam room and all the charts if your interested. If you want to know all the stuff ill part with send me a message.
