Here are my pics from a visit to the Savannah in Baltimore a few years back. Tote manages her and opens it up for self guided tours about three times a year. She is docked next to the John W. Brown. Really cool ship. Had 8 third engineers on the COI. I keep wanting to make a replica of the lounge chair on the bridge for my bridge wing. Someday…
I have a friend here in Houston that sailed on her as an engineer. I worked with him for many years as a fellow Marine Surveyor and see him from time to time at the tap room of our local brewery. I also had an assistant engineer who was the son of one of SAVANNAH’s Chief Engineers.
+1 for the mighty Chief! Best damn salvage ship on the West coast.
