All ships are haunted by gnomes, leprechauns and elves who throw non-flushable items in the toilets. There was a motorman on a cruise ship that found a half flushed bed blanket in a toilet. No one reported being in the cabin when this occurred so it was clearly the elves again. He said that gnome had to have flushed 10 times to get it as far down as it was.
I never liked having to call all hands for arrival/docking, as almost everyone would answer the phone with a groggy “Hello?”, instead of stating who they are. Then would begin the game of tracking down the Electrician and/or Reeferman.
