Single Point Mooring (SPM) Superintendent
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, reliable and environmental compliance of the Single Point Mooring (SPM) Buoy. The position supervises, coaches, and mentors personnel required to operate the Buoy, including shore side and sea side maintenance staff and personnel involved with vessel cargo operations on board the vessels moored to the buoy. This position is responsible for safe SPM operations, maintenance, scheduling, budgeting, vessel chartering and adherence to environmental regulations. The position will liaise with government and regulatory agencies through correspondence and site visits and is responsible for reviewing regulations relative to the SPM for impact to Limetree Bay Terminals.
QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelors degree in Marine Sciences, Marine Engineering, Business, or related field
•Minimum of 10 years Marine Operations experience including cargo operations on tank vessels and 5 years of supervisory experience
•Minimum of 5 years SPM operations and maintenance experience
•Must have USCG Master Unlimited or Chief Mate License
•Demonstrated knowledge and experience in tank vessel cargo, terminal and offshore pipeline operations
•Demonstrated knowledge of Marine equipment maintenance, ISM standards, vessel operations, emergency response equipment, safety and regulatory compliance procedures
•Knowledge and understanding of HSSE regulations and Marine procedures and processes
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers
•Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in making recommendations
•Results driven with strong planning and organization skills
•Highly motivated self-starter who takes the initiative with minimum supervision
•Ability to influence, mentor, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
•Valid driver"s license & Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Ability and willingness to work extended hours, nights, and holidays when required
•Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat
•Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet and aboard vessels
•Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
•Ability to stoop or squat to enter confined spaces
•Ability to wear breathing apparatus and applicable personal protective equipment to prevent against exposure to dust, fumes, or chemicals
