Northeast Maritime and COPE are proposing a USVI Flag registry, bypassing all those pesky US Mariner, Safety, US Built etc requirements that make US Flag so expensive to operate. This a direct risk to US Mariners, and US Shipbuilding and undermines all the great efforts of the past few years to revive our Industry.
Northeast Maritime should be ashamed of themselves for endorsing it, and US Mariners should let them know we know betrayal when we see it.
BOYCOTT Northeast Maritime. There are plenty of schools out there who actually service US Mariners, and aren’t actively trying to undermine our job base by proposing we invite the cancer of a Flag of Conveinence under the auspice of the US.
Eh, this is just that shameless unpleasant catemite Eric Dawicki trying to gin up support for his scumbag proposal again after it got laughed down a year or two ago.
It looks like he created a fake think tank this time (called Cope. Lol.) to attempt to legitimize it. I’m assuming that the source who says that the US is considering the proposal is also Dawicki. He is certainly a deep font of shameless self-promotion.
Yeah, I wouldn’t want my mandatory refresher training class money going to enrich that little booger after he again tries to take food out of our kids’ mouths.
I took some of there online classes in the past. Thermy were actually pretty good there. I have been avoiding them as a result of this. Someone should start a boycott thread.
